Text: Daniel 10:1-14 KJV
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were
heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee
understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days
When an individual sent a mail or parcel through postal agency and the mail does not get to the recipient, we say such mail was lost in transit. As far as the sender was concerned a mail has been sent but as far as the recipient was concerned no mail was received, so where then is the mail? It has been lost in transit.
From our text today, blessings can be lost in transit. Daniel fasted 21days and prayed to God making a request, the answer to Daniel’s prayer was released the very first day he prayed but for 21days he was yet to receive the answer to his prayer. The angel who was coming to deliver the answer to Daniel’s prayer was withheld by devil’s agent called the prince of persia. The blessings of Daniel could have forever been lost in transit if not that he continued to knock the doors of Heaven in prayer for 21days. Am sure Heaven would have wondered why Daniel was still praying to God when the answer to his prayer was already released, and so as far as Heaven was concerned Daniel’s prayer has been answered but as far as Daniel was concerned, God has not answered his prayer. Daniel kept disturbing Heaven until God intervened by sending an Arch angel to go and release the angel carrying the answer to Daniel’s prayer who was withheld by the prince of persia.
Dearly beloved, have you prayed to God for certain things and when the answer was not forthcoming you gave up saying “may be it is not the will of God for you”, brethren don’t be ignorant of devil’s devices, keep knocking the doors of Heaven, don’t give up until you hear from Heaven about your prayer request. God bless you
