Text: Ecclesiates 3:1-12 KJV
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up
A popular quote says “Life is in phases, men are in sizes” then I added this “you need to understand the phase you are so that you can appreciate your size”.
Life is in different levels,phases or stages and so we move from one stage to another. Its like climbing a ladder, you will need to start from the first step of the ladder and gradually taking one step at a time till you get to the top of the ladder. You and I know it is very dangerous to jump a step on a ladder or to climb two steps of the ladder at once because you can easily fall down from the ladder, get injured seriously and then you will surely start all over again.
Dear reader, understanding the phase of life you are is important. A university student who is eyeing a man working in an oil company with houses and cars and wants to do everything he can to be of the same status with that man even as a student, obviously does not appreciate his size because he does not understand his present stage of life. If care is not taken he could do irrational things that can terminate his destiny.
A teenager in Secondary school who wants to start enjoying what married couples enjoy, does not understand her present phase of life and if care is not taken she will be tempted and end up with unwanted pregnancy, abortion and could become a school drop out.
Dearly beloved,the summary of it all is in our text for today “There is time for everything”. So don’t move too fast for God, understand the phase of life you are presently, with determination and prayer climb the ladder of life one after another and you will be what God wants you to be. God bless you.
PRAYER:
1. Father help me to know and do your will in this phase of life I am and move me to the next phase of glory speedily in Jesus Name.
