Topic: FAITHFUL IN LITTLE
Text: I Corinthians 4:1-2KJV
1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
A steward is an employee, a labourer or a worker. Some important qualities of a good steward are accountability, responsibility and faithfulness. Faithfulness is required in stewardship irrespective of the size of the job, even if it is a little job, task or assignment still do it faithfully. A Professor of my school, then in the university has this wonderful quote “A little thing is a little thing, But FAITHFULNESS in a little thing is a GREAT thing”, Jesus also said in Luke 16:10 “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”
So the question is not how little the assignment, the job, the salary, the wealth e.t.c but how faithful are you in doing that little job, paying the tithe of that small salary/income and managing that little wealth. God’s dealing with us are in stages, if you do not pass one stage you cannot be promoted to an higher stage but rather would have to repeat that stage until you pass, so be faithful in that little because it is a pre-requite for the great things you desired.
