Text ; Philippians 4: 1-10
4 AMP: Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
Life is made up circumstances that make people bored, discouragement set in each time disappointment comes, economic situations in the land tends to have adverse effect on everyone, and the canal mind tends to naturally feel down and sad as one ponder over these things. In the midst of all these anyone who choose to find joy can find it in abundance.
Firstly you must understand that no treasure in life can give you joy: money, house, cars, people, your love ones, connections, investments, can not give anyone joy. So Paul was writing the Philippians ‘rejoice in the Lord’ not just the Philippians but everyone who believes the word God. There is perfect joy in the Lord, these is not connected to anything but well spring of life from within.
So verse 4 of Philippians chapter 4 emphasis ;’…..delight, gladden yourselves in Him, again I say, Rejoice. If a particular word is emphasized by the Spirit of God it is of great importance. Look at this KJV: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3. Water brings satisfaction, coolness, comfort, as you get to rejoice in the Lord by praising Him you attract comfort, and satisfaction to your life. I encourage you to rejoice in Lord ALWAYS do not allow anything to weigh you down.
Tears tear down but when you praise you are raised.
