Topic: THE STRUCTURE OF LIFE
Text: 1 Corinthians 3: 5-17 KJV
9. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take
heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
A life can be liken to a building or a house with foundation and structures. Verse 9 our text confirmed it that we are God’s building while verse 16 qualifies it more that we are God’s temple. So if we are God’s building then Jesus Christ is the foundation and structure of our lives, verse 11 says “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ”
The question is, what is the make of your foundation and structure? If it is not Christ, I mean if you are not born-again then it is not Christ’s and the danger is that your foundation is not real, genuine and faulty and so it does not matter the amount of precious stones with which you build on it, it will surely collapse. No wonder King Solomon said vanity upon vanity, all is vanity.
Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today and you as a building will stand the test of time.
Dear reader, a life without Christ is a life of crises, a life without hope, a life of condemnation (John 3:18) and it is like a house built upon a sand which will surely collapse when rain falls, flood flows and wind blows (Matthew 7:24-27). I therefore encourage you to confess Jesus today, accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, ask Him in prayer to save and redeem you completely from sin and works of darkness because Jesus Christ is true foundation and structure of life. Father, make me a house built upon the rock.
