Topic : PRAYER OF THANKS
Text : Psalm 98: 1-9
1KJV:O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 KJV:The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 KJV:He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Prayer of thanks is giving words of thanks in the place of prayer, expressing gratitude to God, remembering His works, His faithfulness, His kindness, His mercies. A thoughtful heart will have an endless list of reasons to give God thanks, He owes us nothing but we owe Him everything, He can do without us but we can’t do without Him.
If we monetise all He has done, how much shall we pay per minute for words we speak? how much do we pay for oxygen we inhale? what about the steps we take each day? how can we monetise sound sleep? how much would He have charged as fare for journey mercies? what about digestion of the food we eat? how much shall we pay for circulatory system? you will agree with me that we owe Him much thanks.
This day we want to thank Him for yesteryears and a brand new year, let’s thank Him for what He is going to do, thank Him because this year will be glorious, because success is yours this year, because your testimony will be outstanding this year, things that appeared impossible last year shall become possible this year. Praise Him in advance for what He is going to do for you this year. I know devil will be put to shame in your life this year. Give Him thanks today and let no day pass without giving Him thanks.
PRAYER:
I just want to praise you Lord, l lift my hands to say l love you, you are everything to me l exalt your holy name, l exalt your holy name oh Lord.
