Text : John 1:1-16
1 KJV:In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 KJV:The same was in the beginning with God.
3 KJV:All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 KJV:In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
From our passage the WORD is absolutely inevitable in the creation of the world, life couldn’t have run without words, God’s word initiated a beginning, He commanded life by His word. Factually everything in this world runs by word, everything you can see or feel runs by words, most especially our lives run by words.
If God could not have done without His word at creation it will be absolutely impossible for anyone to prosper in life without God’s word. Your destiny can not be fulfilled without God’s word, in the same vein, it will be hard to go through this year without God’s word, it is important to know that God’s word is the manual of your life, when His word directs your path you can be sure of success in the year.
Economic policies may fail, government promises might be far from reality, your local currency may depreciate, inflation may increase, friends and family may fail BUT GOD’S WORD CAN’T. So why do you want to hold on to things that may fail?
God’s word is the only sure anchor, all you need do is to renew your attitude towards God’s word this year, obey every bit of His instruction.
PRAYER: * Lord help me to hold on to your word
