27th December
Topic: SEEK TO PRAISE HIM
Text: Matthew 2:1-2KJV
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Today is the last Sunday and this week is the last week of the year 2015, God deserves all of our praises this season.
Among many things, praise Him in three sections
1. Praise Him for this season, the birth of Jesus, the salvation of your soul and your deliverance from darkness
2. Praise Him that you witness the beginning and the end of 2015, that the challenges of this year did not swallow you and for God’s numerous blessings this year
3. Praise Him ahead for the new year 2016 and for what He will do in 2016
Isaiah 55:6 says “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near”
Seek God today not just to ask Him to bless you but much more seek Him to praise Him just as the wise men from our text today sought Jesus to worship. When they heard the news of His birth, they went everywhere asking where is he who has been born the king of the Jews…that they had come to worship him.
Dearly beloved be as the wise men, seek God to praise Him because He deserves it, Worship is the best thing we can give Him, let His praise flows from within you like rivers of living water. Let your life praise Him not just the fruit of your lips. Have a praise filled week. God bless you.
PRAYER:
Father, help me seek you to praise you all the days of my life in Jesus Name.
