Text: Matthew 2:1-11 KJV
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
25th December every year is celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ into the world and so yesterday we celebrated the birth, the life and the ministry of Jesus to the world
It is a common word written on Obituary of many “Celebration of Life” but I tell you this is one life that is worthy of celebration because He came to save the world from damnation. But as you celebrate the birth of Jesus this season, celebrate Him with understanding:
1. Give him quality praise and worship today like the Shepherds desired to do Matt 2:2
2. Shower Him with gifts and presents by giving to others especially the needy and less privilege (Boxing day Matthew 2:11)
3. The most important of all in celebrating this season is to witness Jesus Christ to the unsaved millions because this is the reason why he came.
With these 3 things you will have maximize the purpose of this season, don’t just stay indoor watching films and eating chicken and drinking. Also don’t just go partying but share this season with others in love and with understanding of the purpose of this season as mentioned in 3 steps above. Happy celebration, happy boxing day.
