Topic: GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN
Text: Joshua 14:6-15 KJV
10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
The bible said only the violent will take the Kingdom of God by force Matthew 11:12. Breaking through in life requires persistent and determined efforts, life is not a bed of roses like people used to say, you can’t be silent, passive or fold your arms and expect good things to naturally come your way. Even our God Himself is not lazy cause the bible said he neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalms 121:4) and he watches over us 24/7.
From our text Caleb got a promise of inheritance from Moses when Moses was alive and it was 45 years after he has not received the inheritance, rather than folding his arms waiting for when Joshua will possess that inheritance for him, he took a bold step and told Joshua he was ready to go and fight the Anakims to possess his inheritance, he was not ready to wait any longer for the time the entire army of Israel will fight to possess that land for him, so he said to Joshua GIVE ME THIS MOUNTAIN!
Dear reader, are there things God has promised you, or revelation of your dreams, purpose and destiny has been revealed to you and you fold your arms waiting for their manifestation even when you perceived they should have manifested by now, my brethren go to God in prayer for the manifestation of the good things he has promised you, remember your adversary the devil is doing all to ensure you don’t become what God wants you to be. Don’t be lazy, don’t be carefree, stand up now and pray, take up your mountain, take your rightful place in Christ, pray aggressively to God for manifestation of what he has promised. God bless you
