29th NOVEMBER
Topic: THANKSGIVING
Text : Psalm 103:1-22
AMP:Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—
AMP:Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
AMP:Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
A deep thought about our lives gives us a sense of thanksgiving, our hearts will be full of praise when we remember all He has done for us. Though there are prayers yet unanswered, heights you wish to attain but you have not, dreams yet to come true, desires yet unfulfilled, some challenges around the corners of your life, yet a deep thought will bring a sense of gratitude.
The psalmist knows how to do that well, from our text he instructed his soul to bless the Lord, giving a number of reason for that: who forgives all of your iniquities- referring to a soul that has been saved from sin, a soul that is born again. Who heals all your diseases- remember when your were terribly sick and the Lord healed you, who redeems your life pit- remember circumstances that appeared to swallow you up but God brought you out. Who beautifies, dignifies you-remember how God has turned things around in your favour.
A grateful heart will meditate on things He has done not what He has not done, as you do this, you will see reasons to give thanks to your creator.
Every grateful person will is a next testifier. Happy thanksgiving.
PRAYER:
Ask God to give you a grateful heart.
