Text ; 1John 4: 1-21
KJV:And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
KJV:If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1John 4:16,20.
One of the basic bedrock of Christianity is LOVE, you can’t separate love from Christianity, it’s the true identity of every child of God. In fact the bible calls God love. This is made known not by mere confession or declaration it’s made visible when we show it to our neighbours, people around us, look at this KJV:By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:35.
Love is the gateway to salvation, it led to the birth, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jesus demonstrated that love to us while we’re yet sinners and handed it over to us so that through our lives lost souls shall trace their steps back to God.
Hatred, malice, strife, anger, bitterness, enmity are satanic, God is known for love and anyone who is of God must be known for love and nothing else. When we live in love God will be pleased with us, we are also loved by people. Love cares, loves gives, love shares, love tolerates, love is peaceful, it does not hurt, wishes others well. Start showing love like never before and you can be sure the heavens will open upon you.
PRAYER;
Lord, help me to love like you.
