PREVAILING VOICE DAILY

Text: Hebrews 12: 1-11 KJV
1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed
about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which
doth so easily beset us, and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us,
2. Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.
Often times I have heard people say “God understands” especially when those people failed to meet up to certain expectation that is required of them by God, what they meant is God understands that it was beyond their human capacity to meet up to His expectation. But I have always asked myself “Does God really understands” because 2Timothy 2:19 says Nevertheless the foundation of God
standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord
knoweth them that are his. And, let every
one that nameth the name of Christ depart
from iniquity. Meaning God has a sure standard that cannot change and so if God can’t change His standard we were advised that the best thing for us is to depart from iniquity.
Our text today also explains that we have a great cloud of witnesses, It means that if you were to give God one genuine excuse for failing God may be due peculiar situations you had, God will call thousands of people who went through more challenging situations than yours and yet they did not fail God and then you will discover that there is no excuse for failing God, and that God may not really understand as we usually say.
Dearly beloved, the scripture has therefore advised us that the way out is to put aside sins that we easily commit and focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. God bless you

1. Lord help me not fail you
2. I lay aside every sins that get me off the track of faith
3. I receive grace to follow you without turning back in Jesus Name.
