Topic : FRUITFULNESS
Text : Psalm 126:1-6
AMP:They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing.
AMP:He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Sowing of course precede harvest, there is no harvest without sowing, but not every sower experience good harvest, bad harvest is easy to come by while good harvest requires cautious coordinated effort, life is made in such a manner; you don’t have to pray for bad things to happen they manifest when people don’t want them, for instance, a student needs not to pray for failure, he or she should just stay off classes while success requires serious preparation.
Everyone who wants to experience fruitfulness MUST make cautious coordinated effort, oh how painful it is to labour without harvest? l was to board a bus several years ago under fierce sun, the bus available was one old, weak vehicle, the driver who was also the conductor was one old man whose hair was totally grey, he was shouting my bus stop, out of sympathy l entered, as we get on, it was like the vehicle will divide into two, a good runner will outrun us, we covered just a little distance only for police to stop us. I was full of thought wondering how the man had spent his youthful age, what must have gone wrong? where are his children? was he lazy? probably not, but one thing was certain, no fruit for his labour. From our text ‘They who sow in tears shall reap in joy,’ sowing time is time of labour, time you exert energy, it’s usually a time of pains, there are times your body don’t feel like going out but you gat no choice, you have to force it out. There is dignity in labour, be strong, be up and doing, don’t play with work, in fact love your work, my people say ‘ise ni ogun ise’, ‘work terminates poverty’. And not just working, ensure you’re bearing precious seed, give the best output.
WHY PEOPLE LABOUR WITHOUT HARVEST.
* Anyone who has not given his or her life to JESUS (born again) can be manipulated by the devil. John 10:10, 1John 3:8
* Eating up tithe, God said in Malachi 3:9-12 ‘ye are cursed with a curse…..’ for not paying tithe.
