Topic : UPRIGHTNESS
Text : Proverbs 28:1-20
KJV:Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Proverbs 28:6.
Pursuit of wealth seems to be a daily activity of many, and they seems not to care how the wealth comes, we are in a generation where money rituals, fraud, yahoo business, professional prostitution are well pronounced. Cheating has become household name, factually no one can be trusted even in the church, people cheat on others and say ‘that is business’.
Anyone perverse in his ways is an abomination unto God, the means by which you get wealth determines if it’s a blessing or not; getting a car might not be a blessing because it might eventually cause an accident that will terminate the life of it owner, building a house by defrauding others is not a blessing because some days it might collapse on it owner.
From our text a poor that walks in his uprightness is better than a rich man that is perverse in his ways, the wrong notion that no one is righteous and none can be, is a lie from the pit of hell and it’s the inspiring quote of every corrupt person. Many are still standing for God and God recognises them, everyone who desires wealth from God must walk in uprightness, righteousness, integrity. It doesn’t matter how anointed your pastor is, if he blesses your proceeds from fraud, stealing, prostitution, illegal deal, perverseness they are not blessed but cursed.
You can’t make somebody cry and buy a car or build house and expects God to bless it, no, it does work like that, if He does, He will be an unjust God. You gat to settle with the person you hurt, don’t give tithe from proceeds of your perverseness because it’s a waste of time, who told you that when you sow, get blessed? it’s wrong teaching, this is the right teaching ‘when you sow in RIGHTEOUSNESS, you get blessed. GOD CAN NOT BE DECEIVED.
* Proceeds of perverseness is an abomination unto God.
* The little you get in righteousness is better than great wealth through perversion
* A righteous poor man is better than perverse rich man.
* Promise God you will amend your ways ( He will help you if you are sincere).
