Topic: THE RICHES OF GOD
Text: Ephesians 2: 1-9 KJV
3 Among whom also we all had our
conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
God is an awesome with a lot of riches in His store house. He has all of the riches you can imagine; power, wealth, blessings, goodness e.t.c Malachi 3:10 confirmed it. But of all His riches one of His most important is MERCY. Verse 4 of our text says God is rich in mercy. The riches of His mercy is incomparable
IMPLICATION OF HIS MERCY
1. Mercy made him loved us while we were sinners Romans 5:8, John 3:16
2. His mercy made His grace for salvation appear to all men Titus 2:11
3. His mercy saved us by grace through faith Ephesian 2:8
These implications above are the generality of the riches of His mercy.
However God can choose to specially spend the riches of His mercy on anyone He chooses. Romans 9: 15 says For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion
He spent His mercy on King David, that God called him a man after His heart Acts 13:22
He spent His mercy on Jacob that even before he was born God loved him above his brother Esau Romans 9:10-13
PRAYER:
1. Father, let your mercy overrules judgment in my life
2. Lord, I ask for the riches of your mercy upon my life, family, work, ministry, and nation
3. If you are not born-again confess your sins and pray that God will save you by His mercy
