Topic: SEED TIME AND HARVEST TIME
Text: Genesis 8:20-22 KJV
22. While the earth remaineth, seedtime
and harvest, and cold and heat, and
summer and winter, and day and night shall
not cease.
As long as the earth is in existence sowing
of seed and harvest of fruit will not cease.
We sow seeds and we harvest everyday, our
today is as result of the seeds we sowed
yesterday and our tomorrow will be as a
result of what we sow today.
A few example from the scripture:
1. Reuben defiled his father’s bed in
adultery(seed time) Genesis 35:22, at the
time he was suppose to receive his divine
inherentance, he received curse from his
father instead of blessing Genesis 49:3-4(
harvest time)
2. The two daughters of Lot commit
fornication with their drunken father (seed
time) Genesis 19:30-38 and their harvest
was that they gave birth to two children
Moab and Benamin whose generation
Moabites and Ammonites were constant
enemies of God and God’s people(Israel) II
Chronicles 20:1
3. David sowed a seed of adultery with
Uriah’s wife, then went further to plan the
death of Uriah (seed time) 2Samuel 11, he
harvested curse from God that sword wiil
not depart from his home 2 Samuel 12:
7-12
4. Ananias and Sapphira lied to the church
(seed time) and they both died instantly
( harvest time)Acts 5:1-11
Dearly beloved, the things we do, words we
speak, places we go e.t.c are seeds that we
sow, therefore let’s be mindful of what
seeds we sow because the harvest is always
greater that the sowing. Galatians 6:7-8 says
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also
reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that
soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap
life everlasting. God bless you
PRAYER:
1. Lord help me to be mindful of the kind of
seeds I sow
2. Every wrong seed that I have sowed
producing wrong fruit in my life, Lord by
your mercy destroy them in Jesus Name
