Topic: RESTORATION TIME
Text: Joel 2:1-32 KJV
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be
satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be
ashamed.
Restoration means to reinstate something back to its original position. It also mean to receive back all that has been lost or stolen.
Time is life and life is time Ecclesiastes 3: 1-6
So then time of restoration is a particular season of life when God is set to bring to fulfilment His original plan or counsel concerning a man. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Before restoration there were losses, some possible reason for loss are:
1. Loss by birth or Adamic nature Psalm 51:3-5, we were born into sin
2. Fear and disobedience I Samuel 15:1-31 King Saul lost his Kingdom for disobedience
4. Sin Gen 49:3-4 Reuben lost his divine inheritance because of sin
STEPS TO RESTORATION
* Return to God Isaiah 55:7
* Prayer, Nehemiah prayed for restoration of Jerusalem, Daniel also prayed for restoration of Jerusalem Daniel 9:3-17
* Stand on God’s word Daniel 9:2, declare by faith the scriptures where God promise restoration.
PRAYER:
Father restore to me all that I have lost in Jesus Name
