PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
19th September
Topic: REAL AND NOT ABSTRACT
Text: 1 Corinthians 2: 1-14
4. And my speech and my preaching was not
with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
13. Which things also we speak, not in the
words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual.
A REAL substance is something that can be seen and touched e.g a stone, while an ABSTRACT is something that cannot be seen or touched but can only be felt e.g wind. I learnt many things in school which were not real to me but were abstract up till today probably due to lack of necessary equipment to make that learning real. For example, my biology teacher thought me that Amoeba is a shapeless microscopic organism and up till today I have not seen an Amoeba even with the aid of a microscope in the university and so its a mear biology knowledge to me (abstract) and not a reality.
Today, many things we go through in life, things we learn and hear are just abstract for example when you listen to daily news, Government would make promise by year so and so,power issue will be history but you discover often times they are mear words(abstract) because they usually don’t come to pass but the WORD of God is never an abstract, rather it is real. Our text today says God’s words are not enticng words of man’s wisdom but a demostration of His spirit and power.
One important feature of the word of God that makes it real is that it is alive(a living word) John 6:63 and so it can create new things, it can make way where their is no way, it can turn desert into city, it can change hopeless situations e.t.c
Any one who had seen blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10: 46-52 would have concluded that he would die a blind man but when he encountered the word of God through Jesus, his destiny was re-written, The word gave him a brand new future and he would never again been called the blind Bartimaeus, that’s the reality of God’s word. Dearly beloved I pray for you today that the reality of God’s word will be manifested in your life in Jesus name.
However, as real and as powerful as the word of God is, without faith in the word it will remain an abstract to you(Mark 11:23), so have faith in God’s word and you will experience its reality. GOD BLESS YOU

1. Father from today, let me experience the reality of your word
2. Give me faith, to experience the power in your word
3. I decree life into all hopeless situation in my life in Jesus Name
