Topic ; LESSONS FROM THE ANT
Text ; Proverbs 6: 6-11
KJV:Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
KJV:Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
KJV:Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. Prov. 6;6-8
Our lesson this morning is from the ant, it ways and attributes, first thing worthy of note this morning is that everything God made serves a purpose or another, every creature plays a role in God’s programme, as small as the ant is, she plays a vital role to the point that the bible calls our attention to her ways.
There is a commandment to consider her ways, and whosoever obeys this order will be wise. Another vital point is that the ant has no guide, overseer, or ruler; no instructor, no teacher, no counselor, and yet well compose, this is worthy of note because though some have instructors, counsellors and pastors yet they misbehave. If you can hear the language of the ant, you will be amazed because she will speak words of wisdom. Look at Proverbs 6;8 ‘provideth her meat (food) in summer….’ you might not understand this until you get the dictionary meaning of summer, look at this SUMMER means ‘the period of finest development, happiness or beauty.
Hum, is it not amazing that the time when the ant experiences finest development, happiness or beauty, the time of celebration, when she suppose to throw a big party, that time, she still go to work to provide her food, the reason is because she knows that summer is a period in time, it’ll soon expire.
VITAL QUESTIONS
* How do you treat your time of plenty? have you not eaten up what is meant for the future already?
* Why are you changing cars when you’ve not built a house?
* Why do you spent so much on your dressing?
* Why buying expensive temporal things?
* Why throwing party at every little breakthrough?
* Why taking break when you need to be at work?
GO TO THE ANT AND LEARN FROM HER WAYS AND BE WISE. This is important because many were once rich but now poor if not very poor, their problem might be; probably they didn’t hear messages like this or they heard and did nothing about it. BE WISE BELOVED.
