Topic: 3 KINDS OF GENERATION Part III (The Generation of Seth)
Text: Genesis 4:25-26 (KJV)
25. And Adam knew his wife again; and she
bare a son, and called his name Seth: For
God, said she, hath appointed me another
seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
26. And to Seth, to him also there was born
a son; and he called his name Enos: then
began men to call upon the name of the
LORD.
The generation of Seth are a generation of those that cause positive things to happen. In our text after the birth of Seth, men began to call upon the name of God. This generation makes new things and great things to happen.
Daniel is typical example of a man in this kind of generation, he did great exploit in a land of captivity Babylon, he was a game changer, he caused new order to be established throughout Babylon and its territories.
In Daniel 1:8-15 Daniel proved that eating pulse is far better than eating the portion of King’s meat,
Daniel 6:9 He dared to obey God rather than keep the decree of a king
Daniel 6:25-26 He made King Darius proclaimed that all men should fear and tremble before the God of Daniel.
Daniel was a slave yet ruled as a president of 120 princes in Babylon during the reign King Nebuchadnezzar, King Belshazzar and King Darius.
Another example of a generation of Seth is Moses. Moses-a single man with God troubles the entire land of Egypt, In Numbers 12 God defended Moses before Aaron and Mariam, in Numbers 14 Moses interceded for Israel and made God to change his mind about destroying the children of Israel, In Exodus 33 Moses saw the back part of God.
Shall I also talk about David, the only King who also function as a Priest(2 great offices in one man) or Prophet Samuel whose words never fell to the ground e.t.c
These men are carriers of God’s presence and anoiting, they are men of great exploits. Read Hebrews 11 for their exploits.
PRAYER
1. Father make me a carrier of your presence and glory
2. Make me a game changer, a pace setter in this generation in Jesus Name
3. Father everything about me shall bring glory to your name in Jesus Name
