Topic: REBUILDING THE WALL
Text: Nehemiah 1:1-11 KJv
3. And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are
burned with fire.
4. And it came to pass, when I heardthese words, that I sat down and
wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the
God of heaven,5. And said, I beseech thee, O LORDGod of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them thatlove him and observe hiscommandments:
From the text, the wall of Jerusalem was broken and the city was left desolate.
A wall is an object of protection and security, a city without a wall is prone to attacks easily, and would likely harbour mixed multitudes, strangers and enemies because of easy entry.
Jerusalem was a holy city yet it was left desolate for several years, the lesson here is that devil does not rest in his battle against the righteous, he seeks to render the children of God desolate. I pray God will silent the devil forever in your life and family in Jesus Name.
Another lesson here is that you have a part to play just like Nehemiah to rebuild the broken wall in your life, family, work, your local assembly, in your nation. God has made promises in Isaiah 62:1 That for Zion sake he will not hold his peace and for Jerusalem’s sake he will not rest…..
So play your part and stand on God’s promises for restoration in your life, family, church and nation.
TOOLS TO REBUILD THE WALL
1. The word of God
2. Prayer
3. Fasting.
PRAYER:
1. Every battle of the devil over my soul is destroyed in Jesus Name
2. Every counsel of the enemies over my home is cancelled in Jesus Name
3. I receive burden and passion to rebuild the broken wall in my family, church and nation
