Text ; Joshua 1; 1-24
AMP:Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
AMP:This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Joshua 1;7,8
Everyone dreams and aspires success but not all attain it, failure is common. When you go through a stair case, you find out that going up is not always easy but coming down is like having fun, that best describes life. Achieving good great things takes conscious effort while poverty,failure, stagnancy characterise the life of a lazy man. Success has been widely taught by many, most times, most teachers of success give many principles that lead to success, but let’s look at this together, this is express instruction given by God to Joshua (God’s given success principles) ;- the book of the law (the word of God) must not depart out of your mouth; talk about the word of God, let it form your conversation. People imagine ‘how can the instruction in our text be principles of success? what correlation do they have ? look at verse 8 in amplified version? you’ll observe this ‘….and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.’ the word of God has the capacity to make you wise, when you meditate on God’s word, you are imparting wisdom into your life, it’s opens up your consciousness to ideas that will make you successful, it gives you inspiration that brings transformation in all ramification, each time you come to a cross road God’s word will always show you the way. In our passage God stressed it several times; ‘ensure you do not deviate for my word’ l see God telling Joshua your success is not a problem only make sure you observe, meditate, be careful not to deviate from my word because that is the only time you will be wise enough to attain success.
IMPORTANT NOTE
* Living by God’s word guarantees our success
* If you meditate on God’s word always, you get wiser always
* meditating on God’s word opens up your mind to ideas that lead to success
* when you deviate from God’s word, you deviate from success.
