PREVAILING VOICE DAILY 22nd August 2015
Topic: LISTEN TO THE CRIES
Text: Exodus 2:23-25 NKJV
23 Now it happened in the process of time
that the king of Egypt died. Then the
children of Israel groaned because of the
bondage, and they cried out; and their cry
came up to God because of the bondage.
24 So God heard their groaning, and God
remembered His covenant with Abraham,
with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.
The children of Israel were in slavery in the land of Egypt, when their burdens were becoming unbearable they groaned and cried out to God and God heard their cry, He remembered his covenant with Abraham 400 years before then (Genesis 15: 13-14) and sent to them the provision He had made as the answer to their cries; Moses (Exodus 3: 1-11).
In Genesis 15:13-14, it is clear that while God was speaking with Abraham that his descendants would go into slavery for 400 years,God had borne Moses in mind to be born as the deliverer for Israel Ephesian 2:10.
Dearly beloved, God has made you for a purpose, He bore you in His mind from the foundation of the world that you will be answer to someone’s cry but you’ve got to listen to those cries. Today, nations, tribes, tongues, villagers in mission fields, families, children, even your next door neighbour etc still cry. Many cry for healing, cry of hunger, deliverance from powers of darkness and most especially they cry for Salvation. But
1. You need to develop listening hears
2. Release yourself to God to make you the solution to their cry like Moses
3. You need to go and save them.
PRAYER:
1. Father help me to listen to the cries of the needy
2. Lord give me passion for the unsaved souls
3. Make me the answer to the cries of the needy
